Quick post for all out there who might be listening...
We moved into our house today.... Well, sort of. We are here with three suitcases, five boxes that we mailed ourselves when we left, and three dogs. Supposedly IKEA will be delivering a futon-like apparatus today (assuming they can find the place), and we will get our gov't issued washer and dryer, three wardrobes, and a full size loaner bed. We will also have our new TV, which is pretty. I do feel that I'm paying back some karmic debt to Bob Wroblewski - they did not finish installation of the retaining wall and fence at the back of the property, so my backyard looks like a construction zone, complete with backhoe and gravel pile. I could really use someone to oversee this construction, Bob...
The place is really great, and there's plenty of room for guests. We actually have four bedrooms, a loft with a balcony, and a basement (there are three rooms on the basement level). Overall, we have literally doubled the square feet the we lived in in Oklahoma. The house will be spartan for a while - until we have time and money to get more furniture.
For those who are looking at visiting - I think we will have everything up and running by the end of October. You will be staying on the second floor, complete with mountain view. Your room will be facing east, so you will have the joy of watching the sun rise over the mountains. We will also have at least one fold out option in another room, so we can double book to an extent :)
Pictures will come soon! Hopefully it won't be so long a wait before the next post - this last week has just been a blur... Miss you guys! M
